Community Guidelines

AussieDate works because people bring their genuine, best selves. These guidelines form part of our Terms of Service.

Be genuine

Use your real first name, recent photos of yourself, and honest information about who you are and what you're looking for. No fake profiles, catfishing, or pretending to be someone you're not.

Be respectful

Treat everyone the way you'd want to be treated. No harassment, hate speech, discrimination, bullying, threats, or unwanted sexual messages. A "no" — or no reply — is an answer. Move on graciously.

Be honest about your intentions

AussieDate is for people genuinely looking to meet someone. Be upfront about what you want.

Keep it appropriate

No sexually explicit, violent, illegal or shocking content. No nudity in profile photos. Keep conversations respectful.

No solicitation or scams

Don't ask members for money, financial details or gifts. No advertising, promotions, recruiting, or commercial activity. Never attempt any scam or fraud. This is a permanent-removal offence and may be reported to authorities.

Adults only

You must be 18 or over. If you believe someone is under 18, or is being harmed, report it immediately and, if there's a risk to safety, contact the police on 000.

Respect privacy

Don't share other members' private information, messages or images outside AussieDate without their consent.

What happens if you break these rules

Depending on the seriousness, we may remove content, issue a warning, suspend your account, or permanently remove you from AussieDate. Serious matters may be referred to the police or other authorities. You can report any concern using the "Report a concern" option in your conversations — reports are private.

Thanks for helping keep AussieDate a place worth being. 💛
